The Piano Guys

The Piano Guys are an American musical group that formed in 2010, consisting of Jon Schmidt, Steven Sharp Nelson, Paul Anderson, and Al van der Beek.
Impressed with their rendition of Coldplay’s Paradise with an African twist with the help of Alex Boyé, I was officially enamoured by this world of awesome cello music, fantastic piano accompaniment, and mind-blowing mash-ups that seemingly fall into place perfectly. Their modus operandi is simple: Famous songs that we all hear on the radio like “Viva la Vida”, “A Thousand Years”, and “Secrets” are mashed up with timeless classical pieces, including Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. I never expected “Secrets” and Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony to sound so good together!

They say "great artists steal" but listen to these guys and you'll know that they are no mere copycats. Take a look at The Piano Guys' collaboration with Josh Rice on one of the best rock ballads of the 90s "More Than Words":
